A line scan camera reads the image data one line at a time. This means that it doesn't observe the image as a whole, but rather reviews it precisely line by line. This seamless recording style allows for inspections of over-long objects or even endless webs of material. These characteristics make Basler line scan cameras perfect for a variety of applications: The most common uses are quality assurance and sorting procedures. The Basler ruL2098-10gc GigE camera with the Truesense Imaging KLI-2113 CCD sensor delivers 9.20 kHz at 2k resolution. The Basler runner is a tri-linear color camera. This camera provides high image quality, and with a GigE interface that makes cable lengths of up to 100 meters possible, it is very easy to integrate. This is a major advantage for the very large systems that are typical for line scan camera applications. The runner color camera provides exceptionally good inspection performance with a very low noise level, even at the 1 Hz to 100 Hz line scan rates that are difficult for most line scan cameras to handle. This camera has a tri-linear sensor with three separate light-sensitive lines to collect red, green, and blue information. A built-in spatial correction capability can be used to compensate for the small space between each of the sensor’s lines, resulting in a true RGB image in a wide variety of applications. This camera combines high-quality line scan technology with a Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface. The GigE GenICam compliant interface is a perfect solution for a wide variety of applications. It’s simple and straight-forward to acquire your first images and to adjust the camera’s parameter settings to obtain the best results. And because a CameraLink frame grabber and cables are not needed with this camera, a GigE line scan bundle is quite cost-effective.
Basler ruL2098-10gc GigE camera was combined with a Nikon Nikkor F/2.8 Wide Angle Fixed/Prime during the camera's "used" period for Lumber Grading in a sawmill. Camera was encased in a glass housing to prevent any physical wear.
