One color at a time is applied, then fired at temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit
After all colors are applied, the piece is fired at temperatures more than 1100 degrees Fahrenheit
With modern technology, the enamels are permanently fused into the glass
The beauty of each design will never fade
Our Stained Glass Art was crafted in Virginia, USA by Glassmasters.  Glassmasters produced the finest quality, American made stained glass art reproductions available.
The pieces were created by craftspeople using the ancient technique used since the 15th century of applying colored enamels to clear cathedral glass.  The artists apply one color at a time from a choice of over 600 different hues to richly textured cathedral glass and fire each color individually to temperatures of as much as 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
After all colors were applied, the piece was fired at temperatures that exceed 1100 degrees Fahrenheit.  This ancient process, enhanced by modern technology, permanently fuses the rich enamels into the glass.  This insures that the inherent beauty of each design will never fade and will last a lifetime. Each piece is a work of art.
Sadly, because of unfortunate financial circumstances, after 32 years in business, Glassmasters, USA has closed their doors in Richmond, Virginia, as of May 2005.
