Description
Here's one of those cool vintage items from probably around 1973-ish? This is the Penncrest model 1311 it is in very good cosmetic condition has no real signs of wear, looks pretty good all over. It was sold thru JC Penneys. I took it out of the cover to look it over, it plays but the belt seemed a bit loose to me so I removed it, it is very easy to change compared to cassette players really anyone with very basic common sense can change it, it is very simple, a belt for this should cost around . The program track # indicator lights are pretty weird, I'm sure it's an easy fix for those of you who know how to do this stuff. Here's what it is doing...any of the 4 lights may work at some point but when you push the 'program' # button the next light might come on or it might not at one point as I kept pushing the 'program' changer button, track # 1 & 2 came on at the same time! Sometimes it works correctly thru all of them then it doesn't at all, then it does...so essentially it works and it doesn't work, if you don't care about knowing what track # is playing then it's no big deal. Look the photos over closely, you'll notice track light # 4 is on in two photos then none are on in another photo, this is the actual one you are going to receive, I do have several other 8 track players available as well, so look thru my ads for them if you are interested. All questions welcomed, I will answer them if I know the answer.
