    ITEM DETAILS:
    Black Emery Compound:
Excellent aggressive formulation for initial hand stropping passes.  Use Black Compound first for its coarse abrasive action in preparation for final polishing.  W
ill remove grind lines found in factory profiled blade edges.
    White Rouge Compound:
This 'White Rouge' formula is courser than 'Jewelers Rouge' and works well for final polishing of blade steel edges. Use
white compound second to final b
    uff to a mirror finish.
    *
As you are removing metal from your blade edge, it is normal for your white compound to turn black.
Some like to finalize their edge by stropping on bare fine grit leather after the compounds.
    More details:
These compound bars are easiest to use when slightly warm.
Charge strop for the first time with a slightly warm compound bar, (if room temperature is below 70 degrees, warm gradually to approx. 70 degrees by placing in a warm area, i.e. in a heater closet, near a light bulb or near a space heater, be careful not to allow bar to melt).
Rub compound on to strop as if you are evenly coloring the entire leather surface with a crayon.
Once evenly coated, your strop is ready!
Use only one type of compound per leather surface; i.e. one side black compound, the other side white, it is advisable to write “black” or “white” on the corresponding side of the wood handle to avoid future confusion.
Two 4oz stropping compound bars, 1 ea. of black and white compound!
